Jovanovski takes over Cringila
Zivko Jovanovski has been appointed head coach of Cringila Lions for the remainder of the 2018 season.
Cringila were without a coach after Wally Savor left the club on Tuesday to take up the head coaching position at NPL 2 club St George Saints FC.
A spokesperson for Cringila welcomed Jovanovski and stated, “The club has offered Zivko an open contract and we hope he can be with us for a long time.”
Jovanovski attended Cringila’s 2-0 defeat to Wollongong Olympic on Saturday. He believes Savor left the club in a good position, “Wally did well with the club after a few years of them struggling near the bottom."
Jovanovski’s previous coaching experience has been with Wollongong United who he coached in 2007 and 2017. He was also an assistant with United won the 2017 Premier League Grand Final.
Jovanovski will take charge of his first match with the seventh placed club when they take on Fernhill next weekend.
