Johnny Warren, a Pub and the World Cup

Recently I had the opportunity to spend a couple of hours talking football with the owner of a pub in a small country town. The thing is, this pub owner, Jamie, is the nephew of Socceroos legend Johnny Warren and this pub is far from your run of the mill watering hole — the Jamberoo Pub is a footballing sanctuary chock-a-block full of memorabilia ranging from Warren’s 1974 World Cup jersey to a Boca Juniors pennant.

Appropriately, the Pub has been selected as one of 14 Socceroos Active Support live venues for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Listen to Jamie explain how this came about, the origins of the football museum, who Johnny would have been cheering for (other than Australia) at the World Cup and more.
